Development of a Business Process Tangle: Introduction (video)

A business process tangle develops into a confused interaction of what people do, why they do it and how they do it.  In the same way that that the ear buds for your music player get tangled when they are in your pocket, these tangles happen when you are not looking.

As your company grows, organically or from acquisition, all departments can be drawn into a tangle with the result that no one knows what’s really happening or how to control it.

Removing business process tangles is fundamental to process improvement and should certainly be done before any process automation.  Please see the video below for more information.
